THE LOGGERHEAD TURTLE rescued from Avalon’s 12th Street beach last week is being cared for in a pool at the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. The 280-pound female was said to be dehydrated, but seems healthy despite not having eaten properly since being rescued. If the turtle begins eating again it could be released to the ocean in a month.
